What is VEMLIDY?
VEMLIDY is a prescription medicine used to treat chronic (long-lasting) hepatitis B virus infection in adults with stable (compensated) liver disease.
Stable liver disease means your liver is still doing its job despite liver scarring and effects from the hepatitis B infection. It hasn’t lost its ability to function properly, which is crucial to your overall health.

If you start VEMLIDY and then stop taking it, your hepatitis B virus infection may get worse (flare-up). A "flare-up" is when your hepatitis B virus infection suddenly returns in a worse way than before. Do not stop taking VEMLIDY without first talking to your healthcare provider, as they will need to monitor your health regularly to check your liver.
